Oregon – Sherwood Police conducted a raid early this morning on Monday, August 19th, 2024, uncovering an illegal butane hash oil lab and seizing ghost guns. Acting on community tips, detectives, with the help of the Westside Interagency Narcotics (WIN) Team, executed a search warrant at a residence in Sherwood, where they found an illegal Butane Hash Oil (BHO) lab and various other drugs.
Upon executing the warrant, detectives uncovered a substantial amount of BHO, along with a BHO press used in the production process. Additionally, they seized significant quantities of marijuana, LSD, ketamine, Xanax, and psilocybin mushrooms. A large sum of U.S. currency was also confiscated, suggesting the operation’s involvement in substantial drug trafficking activities.
The search revealed several firearms in the suspects’ possession, including multiple “ghost” guns—untraceable firearms typically assembled from various parts. These weapons add a serious dimension to the investigation, highlighting the potential threats posed by such operations in residential areas.
This case remains under active investigation as detectives work closely with the Washington County District Attorney’s Office to determine the appropriate charges against those involved. The Sherwood Police Department expressed their gratitude for the critical support provided by the WIN Team, as well as the Tigard, Tualatin, and Beaverton Police Departments during this complex investigation.
As the investigation continues, authorities are committed to ensuring that those responsible are held accountable, and they encourage the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to help maintain public safety.
