The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics recently conducted a significant operation against an unauthorized marijuana cultivation site in Rogers County.
Detectives alongside deputies from Rogers County executed a warrant on the premises, confiscating upwards of 27,000 cannabis plants.
According to OBN, Galahad Farms, located near Claremore, was illicitly operating with the former owner’s credentials. The facility has been shut down, and the myriad of plants has been eradicated.
As the operation unfolded, numerous truckloads of cannabis were transported offsite for disposal. The raid caught the facility’s employees off guard.
“We were merely doing our jobs when suddenly, individuals burst in announcing a search warrant, shouting, with firearms directed at us,” recounted Parrish Roberts, a staff member.
OBN disclosed that the raid resulted in the seizure of close to 3,000 pounds of processed cannabis and over 142,000 prepared pre-rolls. Sheriff Scott Walton of Rogers County reported the confiscation of more than $390,000 in cash.
Sheriff Walton expressed satisfaction with the collaborative effort, highlighting it as the culmination of an extensive inquiry.
“The outcome surpassed our expectations, a testament to the diligent efforts by OBN in investigating this case,” Walton remarked.
OBN has successfully dismantled over 3,000 illegal facilities across Oklahoma in the past three years. Walton emphasized the detrimental impact of such illicit operations on communities statewide and affirmed the ongoing commitment to combat them.
“We are gratified to have dealt a blow to this operation,” he stated. “Our focus now shifts to other communities, aiming to dismantle similar illicit activities.”
OBN has indicated that arrests related to this operation are forthcoming.
