South Carolina – A flamethrower seized during a domestic violence investigation in Greenville County highlights the escalating dangers law enforcement officers face. Earlier today, Greenville County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) Delta Platoon deputies executed search warrants related to the case, leading to significant confiscations.
During the search, deputies seized approximately 3.96 grams of MDMA pills, 21.1 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, and 555.71 grams of marijuana. Alongside these drugs, they found three guns, a flamethrower, and $1,535 in cash believed to be connected to illegal activities. The flamethrower seized underscores the seriousness of the situation and the potential threats within the community.
The suspect, 34-year-old Ismael Mondrell Rutledge, was arrested in connection with this case. Rutledge faces multiple serious charges, including domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, resisting arrest, kidnapping, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and several drug-related charges. Bond was not satisfied on any of these charges, and warrants were issued under the sheriff’s office’s authority, with bond temporarily set pending further court decisions.
