In a recent crackdown on Baton Rouge Marijuana Trafficking, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office (EBRSO) Gang Intelligence and Enforcement (GIE) team, led by the EBRSO SCAT unit, apprehended Jordan Soares, deemed a “marijuana trafficker”, as stated by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office. The investigation revealed that Soares was actively involved in distributing marijuana, particularly targeting local schools by recruiting juveniles to aid in the distribution process.
Over the past three weeks, agents conducted undercover operations, successfully purchasing marijuana from Soares and identifying two key locations he used for his trafficking activities. These efforts culminated in a coordinated operation on August 14, 2024, when Soares was taken into custody by the Deputies of the Courtroom Security Division.
