Oregon – a raid on an illicit cannabis operation in Pleasant Hill culminated in the apprehension of two individuals following the discovery of an arsenal of firearms and a significant number of potential fentanyl tablets, authorities reported.
A substantial find of over 1,900 cannabis plants was made at the location situated on Highway 58, number 37000, on March 15, alongside a considerable quantity of processed cannabis.
Detailed examination of the premises revealed the presence of “200 presumed fentanyl pills, psilocybin (magic mushrooms), $40,000 in cash, a vehicle, and a sizable generator mounted on a trailer, all associated with the cannabis production operation.”
The operation also led to Lane County officials confiscating an array of 42 firearms, four noise suppressors, and upwards of 100,000 rounds of ammunition.
During the search, “200 presumed fentanyl pills, psilocybin mushrooms, $40,000 in cash, a vehicle, and a sizable generator on a trailer related to the cannabis operation” were found.
Liam Gibboney, 44, and Keoki Kaleikini, 46, were detained and charged with the illegal cultivation of cannabis—a serious crime—and possession of cannabis in illegal quantities. They were released on the same day.
This site was also flagged for multiple violations of county codes, which, according to the sheriff’s department, had a direct negative impact on the adjacent properties. These violations are currently under review.
