On October 21, 2024, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) announced the arrest of two individuals following a large-scale drug bust in Louisiana that spanned multiple counties. The investigation, which involved several law enforcement agencies, culminated in the arrest of a music studio owner and his business partner, both now facing significant drug and criminal operation charges.
Alanza Sibley, 33, and Jessie Dennis, 30, turned themselves in to authorities on October 15. Sibley has been charged with State RICO (Racketeering), Criminal Conspiracy, Possession with Intent to Distribute Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS), Transactions involving Drug Offenses, and Letting a Disorderly Place. Dennis faces charges of State RICO (Racketeering), Criminal Conspiracy, and Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS.
This drug bust in Louisiana began in July when Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agents informed TPSO of a group suspected of distributing large amounts of high-grade marijuana across multiple cities in the state. The collaborative investigation eventually involved the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO), Hammond Police Department, DEA, and Homeland Security Investigators.
On October 15, authorities executed search warrants at two homes, one in Hammond and another in Albany. These searches uncovered several pounds of marijuana and other illegal substances. A subsequent raid on a music studio in Hammond led to the discovery of more marijuana, packaging materials, scales, and firearms, including one stolen from St. Helena Parish.
In total, law enforcement seized over $100,000 in cash during the operation. The investigation remains active as authorities continue their efforts to dismantle drug trafficking networks in Louisiana.
