Three individuals were arrested during the operation:
- Vivekanand Harilall, an employee at World Smoke and Cigar Shop
- Issam Madineh, owner of Issam Plus
- Tamer Nafaa, employee at Issam Plus
All three were charged with the Sale of a Controlled Substance without a License and Possession of Marijuana Over 8 Ounces with Intent to Sell or Distribute. Each person is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on October 8, 2024. Authorities indicated that more arrests may follow as investigations continue into the activities at these Fairfield smoke shop locations.
