California authorities announced on December 11, 2024 (Wednesday), the recovery of over 90,000 pounds of marijuana following a search warrant served on December 9, 2024, at a property on the 5000 block of Honeyhill Road in Oak Hills. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Marijuana Enforcement Team entered a five-acre lot where a newly constructed 120’ x 40’ metal building housed more than 3000 trash bags of processed marijuana stacked over 12 feet high. Each bag was estimated to weigh between 30 and 50 pounds, reflecting the scale of this large marijuana haul. Investigators took detailed inventories to verify the amount seized, and the building appeared to be specifically used for storing the processed cannabis.
Over two days, investigators removed approximately 51 truckloads of processed marijuana, totaling over 90,000 pounds of marijuana. Local agencies, including San Bernardino County Code Enforcement and the California Fish and Wildlife Department, assisted in documenting and securing the contraband, ensuring proper handling throughout the process. Although the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Marijuana Enforcement Team and the Gangs/Narcotics Division remain determined to dismantle such massive cannabis seizure operations and hold those responsible accountable. All seized materials have been transported to a secure facility for further examination, and authorities continue to pursue leads as part of the ongoing investigation.
