California – A report from SFGate published on Friday, August 9, reveals that Antimatter Holdings, an investment firm representing rapper 2 Chainz, has filed a lawsuit against the Los Angeles dispensary Pineapple Express Hollywood. The lawsuit alleges that the dispensary failed to honor an agreement made with the rapper. According to the suit, 2 Chainz invested $1.5 million into the dispensary in 2021 after being introduced to it by Snoop Dogg’s tour manager, Damien Roderick.
The dispensary’s owners had initially promised that the shop would be operational by April 2021, but it did not open until March 2022. As part of the investment terms, 2 Chainz was entitled to a monthly dividend and had the right to recall 110% of his investment with 30 days’ notice. However, when 2 Chainz and Antimatter Holdings attempted to withdraw their funds, they reportedly received nothing in return. The lawsuit also mentions that 2 Chainz personally reached out to Vincent Zadeh, the co-founder of Pineapple Express Hollywood, in December 2022 regarding the profits. Zadeh allegedly responded by stating that the agreement would no longer be honored. This isn’t the first legal trouble for Zadeh, who has faced other lawsuits from investors and business partners, including one case involving $1.69 million in unpaid taxes.
Aside from this legal dispute, 2 Chainz has maintained a strong presence in the music industry. The rapper, known for his chart-topping hits and collaborations with major artists, continues to be a significant figure in hip-hop. In addition to his music career, he has ventured into various entertainment endeavors, including hosting the popular show “Most Expensivest,” where he explores luxury goods and experiences. 2 Chainz also remains active on social media, engaging with fans and promoting his latest projects. His influence extends beyond music, as he has become a cultural icon known for his unique style and entrepreneurial spirit.
